rock the river.

amazing, honestly, the most epic concert ive ever been to.

1) my friend won us 5 mosh pit tickets so we got to go to the front of the massive i’d say something like +5000 person crowd through those texting contests they have on the massive screens

2) the entire concert screamed of Jesus and Franklin Graham (grandson of Billy Graham) spoke a bunch of times on accepting Jesus into our lives and brought hundreds of people to Christ in one night, i genuinely pray that they have been changed forever.

3) every single one of the bands was amazing, starfield had everyone completely overwhelmed in worship with everyone singing the hometown group’s lyrics in unison and the almost drove the crowd (and especially the mosh pit) crazy with their rock showmanship and when Aaron Gillespie jumped into the mosh pit. thousand foot krutch couldnt make it cause their vocalist trevor apparently couldnt sing after wrecking his vocal chords while on tour but it was alright cause we got to experience an insane hip-hop artist/rapper called tedashii who was so talented and could rap faster than anyone could think, it sounded awesome

4) it was raining.

5) got the almost’s first album, Southern Weather for $10

6) skillet’s closing performance.

i dont think i could honestly sum up how amazing it was in a paragraph but ill try, after like 45 minutes of the crew setting up for skillet, the crowd was pretty annoyed but wow was it worth it. the entire stage started to rumble, and skillet came out in full force and the crowd went wild, John Cooper’s voice absolutely owned and Jen Ledger’s drumming was crazy, she was shaking her head everywhere while still pulling off huge fills on beat while at the same time singing parts of the song, the entire crowd couldnt stop screaming and everyone was yelling out the lyrics while fistpumping nonstop.
but nothing could compare to the first time when the band went quiet and the fireworks exploded from behind them illuminating the entire area.
the lights were flashing and fireworks and jets of smoke where shooting out from everywhere and we just couldnt stop jumping and screaming, as finally the entire stage exploded in streams of lights and jets of fire with a full minute finale.

one of the best experiences of my life.
